If you want to learn Spanish in Spain, Malaga is an excellent choice. Our Spanish courses in Malaga are run at our two schools, one of which (Malaga Option 2) has its own on-site swimming pool and high standard on-site student residence. Both our schools in Malaga offer high quality Spanish courses, with a range of optional activities, visits and excursions.

Malaga, on Spain's sunny southern coast, is a totally 'Spanish' city, not a 'package tourism' destination. Malaga is a wonderful base from which to learn Spanish and also to explore Andalucia, a fascinating part of Spain, full of Moorish influences, famous for its relaxed, easy-going way of life and friendly locals. The climate is sunny throughout most of the year, with cooling sea breezes during the warm summer months.

Our two schools in Malaga are situated in the quiet residential suburbs of Pedregalejo and Cerrado de Calderón, both lying just a short bus ride from Malaga city centre.

Malaga Option 1:

Our school in Pedregalejo is situated in a beautiful Mediterranean villa, just 200 metres from long sandy beaches. The school has 25 classrooms, a computer room and roof-top snack bar. This is an excellent choice of school if you wish to combine a high quality Spanish language course with a beach holiday. The highly-qualified and enthusiastic team of native Spanish teachers will ensure that you get the most out of your Spanish course, while the wonderful location of the school and the activities organised for the students guarantee a thoroughly enjoyable stay for all.

These activities include full-day excursions every Saturday to Seville, Granada or Cordoba, plus monthly 3-day trips to Morocco. In addition, there is a 'welcome party' every week, 'tapas tours' with the teachers, regular hiking trips into the mountains around Malaga, vollyball tournaments on the beach and Spanish cookery lessons.

School and residence

Our 2 schools in Malaga offer high quality Spanish courses, with optional activities and excursions. If you want to study Spanish in Spain, Malaga is an excellent choice. Most of the Spanish lessons take place in the mornings, leaving students free to go to the beach or explore the area with friend in the afternoon.

Our school in Cerrado de Calderón offers an exceptionally high standard of teaching facilities, together with an on-site student residence which is second-to-none. The school has a language laboratory, 20 spacious, air-conditioned classrooms, as well as a state-of-the-art self-access study centre, with both audio and video learning aids.

The school, standing in private grounds, has its own restaurant, bar, dance studio, swimming pool and sun terraces. Attached to the school is the 'Club Hispanico' with 110 well-appointed rooms and a 24-hour reception.

Most of the rooms have balconies and all have en-suite facilities. There are singles, twins and executive suites. The executive suites have a spacious bathroom, double bed, fridge, T.V, tea/coffee making facilities and balcony. There is also a daily maid service.

Hispanic Studies/Gap year Course

This course is ideal for Long-Term gap-year students who wish to achieve fluency in Spanish. The first term (Sept-Dec) students receive 4 Spanish lessons/day. In Term 2 (Jan-June) students progress to 2 lessons/day of Advanced Spanish or DELE Exam Preparation, plus 2 lessons/day 'Hispanic Studies' - Spanish History, Art, Literature, Geography, Social and Political Institutions, Economy, Cinema, the Media. All lessons are conducted entirely in Spanish. Students with upper intermediate/advanced level can attend Term 2 only, or attend selected 4-week modules. Students take the internationally recognised DELE Exam at the end of their course and receive a Hispanic Studies certificate.

Spanish & Dance (Flamenco or Salsa)

Flamenco lesson

This course combines 20 Spanish lessons/week with 10 dance lessons/week - Sevillanas (Flamenco) or Salsa. The dance lessons are conducted in the school's on-site dance studio, with fully qualified Spanish dance instructors. Anyone interested in Spanish/Latin dance will thoroughly enjoy this course!

Spanish & Cookery

Spanish Cookery lesson

This 2-week course includes 4 Spanish lessons/day (Mon-Fri, all levels), plus 4 cookery sessions (2 each week), covering a complete 3-course menu each session. Each cookery session is followed by dinner. Also included: guided tour of Malaga, 2 cultural talks, 1 'gastronomic visit', sumptuous farewell dinner (including wine), Spanish recipe book. Learn the language and the cuisine at the same time! This is an ideal course for anyone interested in Spain and Spanish cookery.

Spanish Club 50+

Students over 50 are more than welcome to join our normal courses. However for those who prefer to study and socialise with people of their own age, we offer Spanish 'Club 50+', combining 3 hours of Spanish classes per day with a full programme of visits, activities, evenings out and guided tours.

Spanish Cookery lesson

This course is an ideal way to practise your Spanish, meet people with similar interests and have a thoroughly enjoyable time! Students on the course come from a wide range of nationalities. Accommodation can be arranged in host families, private apartments, comfortable on-site residence, or hotels. All rooms in the residence have private, en-suite facilities. Partners not attending the course are also welcome in the residence, or in host families. Similar Spanish 'Club 50+' courses are also available in Santiago de Compostela, Nerja, Seville and Barcelona.
