Havana is the perfect choice if you would like to learn Spanish in a location that offers unspoilt history, culture and a unique atmosphere! The breathtaking colonial architecture make Havana a wonderfully picturesque location in which to study Spanish, and the city is also well known for being a very safe location. Havana is also famous for its fantastically friendly locals. So, you should have plenty of opportunity to practice speaking Spanish!

We offer Spanish courses for students of all levels, from complete beginner to advanced learner.
We have schools in three locations in Cuba - in Havana, Trinidad and in Santiago de Cuba.

Spanish school in Havana

Stay in one of our carefully selected Cuban host families and totally immerse yourself in the Spanish language!

Your lessons will be held in your host family’s house, or in a nearby host family. All host families live in the Vedado area of Havana, which is approximately 20 minutes’ walk from Old Havana. Group sizes are kept very small, with a maximum of just 3 students per class. The tutor will go to the host family to give the lessons.

All the teachers are native Cubans, with a university degree and specialist training in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language. Our students come from all over the world, and courses are offered at all levels.

Accommodation

Host families:
Host family accommodation is certainly the best option linguistically, as this gives you the perfect opportunity to totally immerse yourself in the language and culture. This is also the best way to learn as much Spanish as possible in the time you have available, and will give you a unique insight into Cuban culture. Cuban families are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. All host families are located in Vedado, which is approximately 20 minutes’ walk from the historic centre of Havana.

Activities

Regardless of which programme you choose, you will have the opportunity to take part in plenty of cultural activities, to help you make the most of your experience in Havana!

You will have regular meetings with your tutor and the other students in which you can say which activities you would like to take part in. These after class activities are then organized around students’ wishes. Tutors accompany students on the activities. You will just need to pay your entrance fees to monuments, public transport fees, etc.

How to get there

Fly into Havana Airport. From here you can take a taxi (which usually costs around 25-35 CUC and takes approx. 20-25 minutes). Alternatively, we would be very pleased to arrange an airport transfer for you. Please note that this service is not included in the course price.
